The pre match scouting from various sources fed back that the visitors were very quick and strong so we anticipated a good challenge today. The reds tried a new formation today being 4-3-3 to get the most out of the talent we have at our disposal. It proved to work and Danny Taylor had his best game in a red shirt and he was instrumental in Kayle opening the scoring and it wasn't long before Kayle added a second. The Reds were playing some great football going forward and were being resolute at the back. Danny capped his great first half performance with a great finish with his weaker foot. half time and the reds were cruising 3-0.
With changes made at half time and the visitors determined to get back into the game the reds didn't really control the opening exchanges. The visitors were up for it and creating half chances. The visitors got their reward when they finally scored. This could have been a real test for the Reds but they showed their classed when Cameron took a well crafted goal. no more goals and the Reds won 4-1.
The reds played some good football, battled hard against a strong team and this was another step towards getting them back to their bests. The lads are starting to realise you get out what you put in and they are starting to put it in. Well done boys
